Director of Generosity & Mission Innovation
The Director of Generosity and Mission Innovation will have lead responsibility for developing and executing a ministry of giving for the Eastern North Dakota Synod, working collaboratively with the Bishop and synod leadership. The focus of the position is recruitment of annual and major gifts, through donor cultivation and stewardship. A small portion of the position’s time will be dedicated to increasing the capacity for ministry leaders to fundraise in their own contexts.
Position Details:
- Exempt; 40+ hours per week with some night and weekend commitments
- Full benefits available upon start date including health insurance, Health Savings Account with employer contribution, 403b pension with employer contribution, and paid time off.
- Remote position with some in office meetings each month

Administrative Assistant
The Administrative Assistant for the Eastern North Dakota Synod supports the Bishop and staff in their
work with ministers and congregations. The position includes database management, hospitality,
accounts receivable, records management, meeting planning, and organization.
The ideal
candidate is proactive and very organized with these qualities:
- gives attention to detail while managing multiple projects
- interacts effectively with others on staff and within the synod
- provides excellent hospitality and welcome for the synod office
- meets deadlines and works under pressure
- plans, organizes, and prioritizes work responsibilities
- gives the highest regard to confidential situations
- communicates effectively both orally and in writing
Position Details:
- Non-exempt, 37 – 40 hours/week with occasional night/weekend commitments

Director of Youth Ministry, Messiah Lutheran, Fargo
Primary function of this position: To promote the formation and continuing development of faith in youth, grades 6-12.
Attributes & Competencies:
• Participate Person of faith, committed to a scripturally-based, grace-centered theology and ministry in accordance with the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America.
• Passion for youth and the church.
• Leadership skills with the capacity to influence and engage others in ministry
• Experience in youth ministry, teaching, or a related field preferred, but not required.
• Strong communication skills (useful to be familiar with text, Tweet, Instagram and Facebook).
Responsibilities:
• Plan and facilitate all programs aimed at engaging youth in the life and ministry of the congregation.
• Support the Senior Pastor as needed with the confirmation program.
• Serve as staff advisory member on the Youth Committee.
• Oversee the Youth budget with Parish Administrator.
• Work 20 hours a week, maintaining a balance between regular office hours and evening/weekend hours.
• Participate in the worship life of the congregation (Wednesday evenings preferred)

Youth & Young Adult Ministry Developer, Episcopal Diocese of North Dakota
The Episcopal Diocese of North Dakota seeks an innovative, inclusive, resourceful person of faith to teach, guide, and support clergy and lay leaders in creating ministry that develops middle-school and high-school youth and young adult spirituality and community within congregations and in wider communities, including college campuses, throughout North Dakota and Clay County, Minnesota. Gifts and skills needed include strong communication skills; social media; blogging; podcasts; emerging media; high motivation; and a “try-on” personality. Must be able to work with and nurture different age groups in various cultural contexts, including Native American and New American, and to offer adult and youth leaders support, encouragement, and resources. A bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience is required. This position is part-time and for an initial term through December 31, 2025, with longer-term potential.
