Position Summary: The Associate with the Bishop for Vocation and Leader Formation serves as a member of the bishop’s leadership team and provides leadership, through a lens of vocation, for formation of current and future leaders across the synod. Key to this position is the responsibility for cultivating and supporting a culture of call and baptismal identity for all – lay and rostered. Position Details: Exempt; half-time position with night/weekend commitments; benefits eligible.

Endowment Manager

The Eastern North Dakota Synod has a long history of a highly successful 20+ year-old endowment (Vital Leaders Endowment Fund) supporting rostered ministers (pastors and deacons) in the synod. Building upon this success, the Eastern North Dakota Synod launched five new endowment funds in 2024. The EaND Synod Endowment now consists of the Campus Ministry Endowment Fund, Holy Innovations Endowment Fund, Native American Ministry Endowment Fund, Resurrection Endowment Fund, Sustaining Endowment Fund, and the Vital Leaders Endowment Fund.

The Eastern North Dakota Synod Endowment Manager is a part-time contract position. Compensation is based on an average of 30 hours per month, while noting variation in the month-to-month workflow. This position is remote and requires one to be self-motivated and independent while also connecting appropriately with bishop, synod staff, and synod constituents. This contracted position is an extension of the Office of the Bishop, works strategically with the priorities of the synod, and reports directly to the bishop.

Campus Pastor & Director of Faith Formation, Oak Grove Lutheran School

The Campus Pastor & Director of Faith Formation provides leadership for the spiritual life of Oak Grove Lutheran School. Working collaboratively with the President, principals, faculty, staff, families, and congregational partners, this leader helps cultivate a Christ-centered community in which faith formation occurs throughout every aspect of school life. This position reports directly to the President through a synodical call from the Eastern North Dakota Synod. Through leadership in worship, Christian Studies, pastoral ministry, Christian service, and spiritual formation, the Campus Pastor helps ensure that every dimension of the Oak Grove experience contributes to the flourishing of students, employees, and families.

Executive Director, Park River Bible Camp

Park River Bible Camp is seeking a passionate and dedicated Executive Director to lead our ministry and carry forward our mission of sharing God’s love and building community through Christ-centered experiences.

As Executive Director, you will provide overall leadership for the camp’s ministry, staff, programs, operations, and finances. Working closely with the Board of Directors, you will guide the vision and ensure the ongoing growth and sustainability of Park River Bible Camp.
