imagining immanuel: a virtual advent retreat
Facilitated by Sister Michelle Walka
Starting the week of November 29, 2020
Advent is a season of transition. It is a time between no longer what was and not yet to come. The liturgical rhythm of Advent allows us space to practice simply being in the present moment; encountering Immanuel: God with us
ABOUT: Imagining Immanuel “God with us” is an invitation to gently dwell as whole beings (in mind, body, and spirit) with the divine presence through contemplative prayer and creative expression. This virtual retreat invites you to ponder the embodied and creative nature of our faith life and practice. You do not need any special art skills for this time. A simple supply list will be provided.
THIS 4-WEEK VIRTUAL RETREAT INCLUDES:
▪ access to retreat materials through online course site
(weekly reflections and daily creative expression prompts to reflect with at your own pace)
▪ 2 virtual community practice sessions via Zoom each week to choose from
(Tuesdays at 11:45am or Thursdays at 7pm)
▪ connection with the virtual retreat community
COST: $100 (Pay what you can options available. Please email for more information.)
