For teachers and Christian education directors, you might like to take a look at a set of print resources: Nurturing Faith Through the Stages of Life (external link), Learning Basics for Teaching the Faith (external link), and Lutheran Basics for Teachers (external link). For adult education, check out the Leading in Faith DVD Series (external link) available at the Augsburg Fortress store or preview copies from the center. Teacher training webinars are available online as well. Two additional books highly recommended are Teaching Children Bible Basics (external link) and 7 Ways of Teaching the Bible to Adults (external link) by Barbara Bruce.

We subscribe to an outstanding journal, Lifelong Faith: the Theory and Practice of Lifelong Faith Formation (external link). If you’re looking for ways to keep informed about best practices together with practical strategies for Christian education, check it out!

For pastors, teachers, or small group leaders, Teaching the Bible: Hosting the Conversation (external link) is an excellent 12-session DVD or course for examining the dynamics of adult learning.

EarthBound: Created and Called to Care for Creation (external link) is a cutting edge 6-session series that takes Martin Luther’s understanding of justification and vocation and explodes it across God’s magnificent creation. It addresses the origins of our misconceptions about scripture’s portrayal of creation and invites viewers to recognize God’s call to us to relate to the whole creation as our vocation. (DVD314)

New adult education courses include Tom Wright’s 10-session DVD, Living Faith (external link). It explores essentials of Christianity including scripture, history, beliefs and practices and how Christianity differs from other religions. (DVD315)

New Book of Faith studies include:
