The following resources really do matter! They’re highlighted here because they provide fresh material for engaging with Scripture and with one another about faith and life. They also are among the most creative resources available. All are available for loan from the Resource Center.
On this eve of our national celebration of Thanksgiving, I offer the following resources, all of which have to do with gratitude about shared ministries.
The rituals and traditions of Advent help us focus on the mystery and meaning of the incarnation, Christ’s coming to us in human form at Christmastime. Advent provides a time for preparing our own places—our own “Bethlehems”—where Christ can be born anew in us, bringing life and light to a tired church and a world in deep need of resurrection and rebirth.
Recommended DVDs, Bible studies, and leader guides for adult and young adult faith formation to stimulate vibrant discussion and deep reflection.
The following resources may be helpful as we prepare for another election year. These non-partisan resources can be used by individuals, small groups, and in adult education offerings. They will be important both before and after the November elections as a way to encourage conversation and discourse about our call as Christians to be a public church.
