$1,000,000!!! Milestones:
Do you remember when McDonalds displayed how many hamburgers they had sold on their signs? I remember when it changed to over one billion served. We have our own upcoming milestone in the Eastern North Dakota Synod. Thanks to a visionary leadership initiative that helps reduce the monumental debt facing our pastors, the EaND Synod Endowment Fund was created. Bishop Mark Narum and the Western North Dakota Synod have established a Flood of Love Fund to help with the cleanup and rebuilding of ELCA congregations affected by flooding in Minot. ELCA members, individuals and congregations, are responding to the destructive earthquake and devastating tsunami that hit Japan and other parts of Asia last week. In addition to the country, its people and leaders, prayers are requested for the 22 ELCA global mission personnel and their families who are ministering in Japan.
Donations may be sent to ELCA Disaster Response, designated for the Pacific Earthquake & Tsunami, and will be used entirely (100%) in response to this disaster.

Dianne Billey, chairperson for the EaND Synod Global Missions Committee, will be traveling to the Central African Republic in April and is allowed an “extra” bag. She contacted Deborah Troester, our missionary in the CAR, requesting transportable items they may need.
Any of the following items may be brought to the synod office by Monday, April 11:
- Communion cups
- Crosses, stoles and clergy shirts (used stoles & shirts are fine; any color; any size)
- Cotton quilting fabric, thread, zippers, elastic and buttons for use at the Women’s Center
