Rev. Jackie Griffin, Advisor to the Women of the Central African Republic (CAR) for Christ, visited the synod office July 17. She is in the states for several months visiting congregations in the Eastern North Dakota Synod and the Texas Louisiana Synod, companion synods to the CAR.
Jackie, a nurse, is in her first call as a missionary in the CAR. Jackie is sharing a visual presentation to churches she visits and recommends the book, The Fever by Sonia Shah (more information), to better understand malaria, a disease which kills a child every 45 seconds.
