Please pray for the 35,000 youth and adult Lutherans who are gathered as citizens with the saints this week to learn, pray, worship, and serve during the 2012 ELCA Youth Gathering in New Orleans. Congregations are invited to remember the ELCA Youth Gathering in the Prayer of the Church on Sunday, July 22.
The Youth Gathering evening program will be streamed each night July 18-21 from 7:00 – 8:30 pm Central Time; and worship on Sunday, July 22 will be streamed from 9:30 – 11:30 am. Visit www.elca.org/gathering to join our youth!
Ornella Golike (recipient of the Young Woman’s Scholarship Program) and Frederick, two students from the Central African Republic, are traveling with the youth from Olivet Lutheran in Fargo to the gathering. Prior to their trip to New Orleans, Ornella and Frederick made visits to a farm near Valley City, Jamestown, Grand Forks, and the synod office. Keep them in prayer as they experience the Holy Spirit in the midst of 35,000 youth!
