Disciples from the Northwestern Minnesota Synods, in partnership with our ELCA’s program unit for Congregational and Synodical Mission (CSM), are engaging our mission field and exploring new avenues for partnership in the gospel. The Prairie Faith Parish
Over three years ago, an experiment began in the central region of the Red River Valley between the Holmes United Methodist, Beaver Creek Lutheran, and Trinity Lutheran Churches under Pastor Mark Ellingson. Over those years, the congregations developed a relationship where they shared joint worship services, potlucks, and mission projects. Leaders from each of the congregations were chosen and a parish council was created.
