A synod-wide global mission event will be held at Trinity Lutheran Church, 523 4th Ave SE in Jamestown, September 20, 2008. This is an inter-generational event with activities for all ages.
The event includes mission speakers and global music, workshop sessions, displays, and a vast array of hand-crafted African items for sale by Asante Network of Valley City. Noon lunch includes ethnic food from mission countries.

“Growing God’s Way: Churches Planting Churches” second annual conference will be held October 23-24, Peace Lutheran Church, Sioux Falls, SD.
This event will help you learn more about the various approaches for churches planting churches from those “turning the soil.” It’s an opportunity to do some dreaming out loud and ask “what if?” and “why not?” You’ll hear inspiring speakers and find resources available for church planting.
Registration Fee is $50 per person and covers materials, 2 lunches, supper and snacks. Registration deadline is October 1, 2008
