A farewell open house for Naomi is scheduled for Tuesday, June 17 from 1:00 - 4:00 p.m. at the Synod Office. All are invited to attend.
Naomi Garber Concludes 6 Years as Associate with the Bishop
Naomi has pastored, befriended and guided us for nearly six years. She will be missed. Naomi worked closely with the call process, the assemblies, the conferences, the Fall Leadership Conference, First Call Retreat, etc. Her work will be missed.
Even though an associate’s call is co-terminus with the Bishop’s, it is also Naomi’s choice to move on to what is next in her life. God bless Naomi as she now discerns her next call.
Updates and Prayer Requests
Pastor Joyce and Ian Graue, missionaries serving in CAR, share the following:
The construction of the Women’s Center - known as “Chez Marthe et Marie” - is complete. Support from congregations for this project is ongoing as the center begins serving area women and is dependent on gifts. The adjacent church is complete but needs furniture including pews, benches, lectern, and communion table. Representatives from companion synods (Eastern ND, Western ND (external link) and Texas-Louisiana Gulf (external link)) traveled to CAR for the dedication in February.
