Hope Lutheran Church (Fargo), St. John’s Lutheran & Good Samaritan Center/Arthur, First Lutheran & Fillmore Lutheran/Enderlin, Havana Trinity Lutheran/Havana & Nordland Lutheran/Rutland, Turtle River Ministry (Ascension Lutheran/ Emerado, St. Paul’s Lutheran/ Honeyford, Faith Lutheran/Inkster, Our Savior’s Lutheran/Larimore, and Ness Lutheran/Mekinock), Eastern North Dakota Synod, and Luther Seminary are joining together in an unique partnership. The proposal is for a regional partnership initative for leadership development meaning dual site seminary internship between each congregation/parish and Hope Lutheran Church with EaND’s and Luther Seminary’s support. The internships are to begin August 1. 2008.

On April fifth and sixth 750 Lutherans will gather at the Fargo Civic Memorial Auditorium for the 21st Annual Eastern North Dakota Synod Assembly. The theme is Let Mutual Love Continue: Living As God’s Abundant Gifts. Registration begins at 7:00 am Saturday. Bishop Rick Foss will preach at the Opening Worship at 8:30 am.

In gratitude for Rick Foss’ 16 years of faithful service to our synod as bishop, An Evening of Thanks and Celebration is planned for Friday, April 4, 2008. The event will be held at Oak Grove Grove Lutheran School at the Scheels Center for the Performing Arts - 124 North Terrace in Fargo, ND (map (external link)).
Gathering time begins at 6:30 pm followed by a program at 7:00 pm with desserts and refreshments offered. Plan on attending! Save the date! Share your appreciation for Rick and his ministry as bishop. What a great beginning to the Synod Assembly weekend.
