Synod Assembly

The synod assembly is the annual gathering of pastors, associates in ministry, lay voting members and visitors who represent the congregations that make up the Eastern North Dakota Synod of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America. Attendance at the assembly is expected of all pastors and associates in ministry under call.

Fall Professional Leadership Conference

Seminary on the Prairie

Seminary on the Prairie is a cooperative education offering between Tri-County Ministry (external link) and Luther Seminary, St. Paul, MN (external link). This annual event brings seminarians, clergy and lay people together for a week of learning and sharing ideas. It will be held at Red Willow Bible Camp (external link) of rural Binford, ND.

First Call Theological Education (FCTE)

January 13-15, 2012
Concordia College and Trinity Lutheran Church - Moorhead, MN

Rostered leaders in their first 3 years of call are required to attend FCTE. The ELCA recognizes that the transition from seminary to the parish is one of the most significant changes in a rostered leader’s life. The First Call Theological Education events are meant to spend time tending to that transition and assist in leadership formation. Join Luther Seminary Faculty, Concordia College, and Synod staffs as we gather to talk about your ministry and passions for ministry. Each afternoon we will be breaking into small groups to discuss the topics and contexts that are most relevant to you.
