|The ELCA is an engaged, active body of people who put faith in God into action -- in millions of ways, all over the world. Through programs, ministries and partnerships, the ELCA works every day to address inequities in political, economic and social systems -- and to end conflict and violence all over the world.
This video is part of the Eastern North Dakota Synod "Us" DVD and shares a few stories of the ministry of the The ELCA Churchwide (exteranl link).
LIFT (exteranl link) is an ELCA task force commissioned by the ELCA Church Council to develop and recommend options for the future of the ELCA in light of its identity, changes in its environment and its call to God’s mission. Our work is guided by two questions: 1) What is God calling this church to be and to do in the future? and 2) What changes are in order to accomplish these tasks more faithfully? These are important questions that will lead the ELCA into the future. We cannot faithfully address these items without the input of all ELCA members.
The Renewing the Ecology of the ELCA Task Force values your input! Find us on facebook (exteranl link) and twitter (exteranl link). Learn more about LIFT on the ELCA website (exteranl link) and our main website (exteranl link).

The Mission Investment Fund (MIF) (external link) is a ministry of the ELCA that makes loans to ELCA congregations and related ministries for capital building projects and land purchases.Throughout the nearly 100 year history, MIF and its predecessors, no one has ever lost a penny on one of our investments!
The fund finances the loans through the sale of investments to ELCA congregations and their members, synods and ELCA-related ministries. When you invest with the Mission Investment Fund you help strengthen the ministry of our church, even as you save for your future. Thatís because we use the money you invest to fund building and renovation loans for ELCA congregations and ministries. Not only do your investments earn you a great rate of return, they replace sagging church roofs, expand Sunday school classrooms, and build brand new church buildings from the ground up.
Building our Church. Building your Savings. Who knew investing could be so inspirational?
