beloved art and practice

Greetings! My name is Sister Michelle Walka. I am an artist and the Director of Beloved Art and Practice; leading retreats and workshops based on creativity and contemplative prayer practices throughout Eastern North Dakota Synod. I am part of the Deaconess Community of the ELCA and am a rostered minister of Word and Service. I currently live in Moorhead, MN with my husband, Keith, where I enjoy finding the sunny spots of local coffee shops and exploring the beauty of the natural world.

BELOVED ART AND PRACTICE is a ministry initiative that intentionally fosters space for people to wonder and discover how God is active and calling them to act in and for the sake of the world through contemplative practices that encourage spiritual reflection, creativity, and self-awareness. This ministry is a grant funded endeavor through partnership with the Deaconess Community of the ELCA/ELCIC and the Eastern North Dakota Synod.
