LIFE: Living in faith everyday
What is LIFE?
LIFE - Living in Faith Everyday
Formerly known as the School for Lay Ministry, LIFE's purpose is to provide adult Christian education in the areas of the Old and New Testament, Lutheran Confessions, Pastoral Care, Worship & Liturgy, and Church History. To do this, we draw on the gifts of seminary professors, those who serve in specialized ministries, and others. This program serves the synods of Northwestern Minnesota and Eastern North Dakota and is open to any person, lay or rostered in the two synods.

March 6, 2021 - Why So Many Lutheran Denominations in the US?
Presenter: Pr Paul Baglyos
Most Lutheran church
members have some awareness of the existence of at least two different Lutheran
church bodies in the United States: the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America
and the Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod. Besides those two, however, there
are literally dozens of other separately organized Lutheran denominational
bodies incorporated in the United States, many of them quite tiny and largely
unknown beyond their own members. How and why has the multiplication of
Lutheran denominational bodies occurred, and what should Lutherans in any one
of those bodies know about the others?
